Q. How can I change my profile information / profile pic / password etc.?
A. Every member of this forum has a User Control Panel (User CP) to change their profile information and different forum settings etc.. So you can find the proper User CP link on the top of every page in this forum and spend some time there to get familiar with some easy to use settings. The rest of the things are pretty simple.



Q. Can I change my UserName / Login ID?
A. You can't change your UserName or Login ID and there's NO option for changing it in User CP.
However, if you want to change it then you have to contact any of the Forum admins (Admins) thru PM (Private Message) and they'll change it for you. You should send a request to them within 2 days after your registeration. And please, don't make it a habbit because a User Name or Login ID is also your display name in your messages (through-out the forum) so it can confuse other members if you'd change your Login ID again and again.



Q. How can I have my own image as my Avatar like other old members of DH?
A. You'd find an option in User CP for uploading your own image as your PROFILE's picture but (unfortunately) there's no option for uploading your own Avatar in there.
But again, the MODS of DH are there to help. You should PM (private message) a modertor with the link of your desired image and they'll put it as your avatar on your request.


Q. What is a Private Message and how can I send one to others?
A. Private messages (PMs) are messages that can only be read / seen by receiver Other members can't read/ see that message that's why it's called Private Message. This forum gives all of its member an Inbox where you can receive / store your Private messages (both sent and received). To check / open your inbox, you have to click on Private Messages (it can be found under your Welcome message {upper right corner of DH forums' main page} or from Quick Links).

You can send a PM to any member of DH from your Inbox. There are two ways to send a PM.

1)- Go to your inbox and click on New message. And from there, type the name of the member (the one you want to send the PM to) and write your message. But it's a hard way he he. Because of of the DH members have fancy nicks and they are hard to copy and paste. So I'll recommend method # 2.

2)- Click on any member's Nick / Display name / Login ID and it will open their profile's page. And there's a direct link to send them a PM on that page. Click it and the Name of that member would be automatically pasted in the Receiver's field.


Q. What is a moderator (mod) and what does he/she do?
A. Mods or Moderators are some wise old members of this forum and they are like forum managers. They do all the stuff to make sure that the forum provides a quality and fun place to all of the members out there. Stuff like making new and better changes in the forum's layout, design and accessibility etc..
They are always here to help you (whether it's forum related problem or other non-forum related problems). They have some special rights such as, deleting or editing your messages (if they're conflicting with forum rules), close a thread and even BAN a member just to keep things smooth for all the forum members.



Q. Can I become a moderator of this forum?
A. No you can't so don't bother requesting to be one. The forum moderators are pre-selected and very old members of this forum. but if they did, everyone will have a chance to be one through a special qualifying test or election, based on some above average skills and knowledge.



Q. How can I put pictures / images in my signatures?
A. You can change / edit your signatures from User Control Panel (User CP). First, you have to upload the image somewhere on net (http://imageshack.us is the site that allows free uploading of images and it's easy to use too). Once uploaded, use the following code to insert an image / picture in your signature.

Q. How can I reply a thread / message?
A. You can use Quick Reply box (available at the bottom of any thread) to reply. Or you can click on New Post (a button provided exclusively for replying purpose on every thread) to reply that thread.



Q. Why I can't see a New post button or Quick reply box?
A. There can be three cases where you wouldn't see quick reply box and / or new post button.

1- You are not signed in. (Sign in to get rid of this problem).

2)- Page didn't fully load or loaded with errors. (Refresh the page to get rid of this problem).
3)- The topic has been closed by a Moderator. (In this case, you can't post a reply).


Q. I lost / forgot my Password. What should I do now?
A. Lost or forgotten passwords can be retrieved.

Add vaild password and u can get ur password

If some how you didn't give a Valid E-mail ID at the time of registeration then you'd be in trouble. In this case you can contact a Moderator and you have to convince him/her by giving him/her some solid and substantial proof that you were the owner of lost ID to get it back.
